Declan Burke road to U23 World Championships Hello, I've opened this fundraiser with hopes of raising some money to help myself reach my goals of competing at the U23 Nordic ski World Championships. I'm spending 3 months in North America competing and training in races such as the US national Championships as well as going back and forth between the States and Australia so best improve my skiing. This is all to help me work towards my goal of representing Australia at the Olympics. It's hard to get funding for Nordic sports in Australia so that's part of the reason I've opened this project.

Raise money for training, competing, coaching and other fees in my lead up to The U23 Nordic Ski World Championships.

Swim it forward Swim It Forward Our research shows that more than half (55%) of all Australian children are not learning to swim due to the cost to enrol in lessons and in recent times over 8 million swimming lessons were missed due COVID-19. In 2021 alone, twelve Aussie kids under 5 years old drowned. This is unacceptable. We believe learning to swim is a lifesaving skill every child should receive regardless of income or ability and our aim is to help more children receive this vital education and lifelong skill. Swim It Forward is an initiative to take the financial barrier out of the equation and get more disadvantaged Australian families enrolled in swimming lessons at their local swim school. For every child we help place into a learn to swim program, the more we lower the risk of drowning deaths and grow confidence in our kids to love swimming and the water. Preparing the future2 The Club has a new womens senior team and under 16 womens. New junior competitions and a program in partnership with the local primary and secondary schools. This will all contribute to provide a pathway to elite sports, health and education within the pines precinct. The program to offer the community of Frankston North and beyond is seeking financial support to continue to develop and grow within the changed demography of the Pines area. Specifically the Club needs to : Provide uniforms, and improve the current facilities. Prepare for new facilities and make a co-contribution to the build and operating costs in partnership with council and state govt grants. Continued on field success in MPNFL Division 1 by :Attracting players through the education pathway as a destination club for aspiring players, which will maintain competitiveness and member/community support; Continue to develop our coaching staff across all teams including seniors, juniors and our intended ladies teams; and Developing a Junior recruitment & retention plan, particularly geared towards local kids broader than the 3200 postcode. This will broaden access to our elite programs of sport. Through the Club's fundraising partnership with the Sports Foundation, donations to this program are tax deductible. 2022 World Cup and World Championships Campaign AU mmmmmmmmmmmmmm I have been selected for the 2021 ICF Canoe Slalom World Cups 3 & 4 and the World Championships. However due to the COVID-19 virus we are not able to receive any support from our sporting body. As such, to attend and race at these competitions I must self-fund every aspect of my campaign such as travel, accommodation and water time. 2023 Marie Little Shield.Incorp Every year Netball ACT selects a team to represent the state at the Marie Little Shield National Tournament. Specialised coaches and support staff are also selected to support on and off the court and maximise the experience of each athlete. A focus of the Marie Little Shield program is to provide women with intellectual disabilities an opportunity to represent their state at a national tournament. The program promotes skill development on court, personal growth off court and teamwork in match play. Above all, athletes are encouraged to enjoy the challenge.

Scoreboard & Event Presentation Upgrade test Lane Group Stadium, home of the Peel Thunder Football Club, requires immediate upgrades to its AV infrastructure at the venue, including the scoreboard and sound system. During 2023, the Club endured consistent operational issues with its scoreboard and its sound system, including the internal AV set-up within its function spaces. In attempting to maintain the venue as the Premier Events Venue in the Peel Region, investment is required to upgrade this important event presentation infrastructure to continue to provide an outstanding event experience for members, spectators and the wider community. It is now at the end of its useful life and in need of immediate replacement. Lane Group Stadium plays host to WAFL and WAFLW competition, local senior football league fixtures and finals, local junior football league finals and the Country Football Championships annually. In addition, the venue has successfully hosted AFL preseason and Super Rugby fixtures, along with major trade shows and festivals in activating Mandurah. All components of this project are essential requirements to host State League Football, and even more critical to attracting National level sporting events to ensure a professional event is presented at all times. ﻿
