A new cycling and walking trail for the Clare Valley

A new cycling and walking trail for the Clare Valley

Exercise is essential for a healthy body, while time outdoors and in the wilderness shows exceptional benefits for mental health. Public trails are a wonderful vehicle for encouraging exercise related activity and improving health.

Once completed, the Clare Valley Wine and Wilderness Trail will provide the community with a 100km (approx.) walking and cycling trail. The trail will consist of 5 sections, each approximately 20km in length. Available to locals and visitors, users of the trail will be free to complete the entire route or smaller sections. Walkers would take 5 days to complete the entire route, cyclists between 2 and 5 days.

Part of the trail will be a combined trail for both walkers & cyclists, at other times walkers and cyclists will take slightly different routes.

The target completion date for section 1 is April 2021 and April 2022 for sections 2-5.

We are calling on your support to complete sections 2-5 and fund future capital works to ensure that the trail remains safe for all users.
